You Tube taught me to reupholster big furniture (unfortunately, it did not teach me to stop procrastinating after I've ripped the old fabric off, but I digress).

Don't give up!Champagne on Tuesdayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774014824759593567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353166892329944748.post-66700939157720421292010-05-19T12:10:28.729-04:002010-05-19T12:10:28.729-04:00I agree Janells advice - remove the staples from t...I agree Janells advice - remove the staples from the foam and add more batting and smooth down to the edge of the chair, next use fabric lining or whatever cheap fabric and staple in place and the replace your fabric.

Have you husdand help the fabric in place once you start stapling the fabric underneath the frame.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11784825966340743698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353166892329944748.post-18775762586172630252010-05-19T11:18:01.706-04:002010-05-19T11:18:01.706-04:00You don't need to staple the foam to the frame...You don't need to staple the foam to the frame, instead wrap the batting or an underlining fabric around the foam to the underside (or possibly the frames sides in the case of this chair) and staple that material down, holding the foam and batting in place. You can use any solid fabric...an old pillow case, sheet, etc, that won't show through the fabric you'll be using to cover the seat cover.
