WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THIS?

These are some swoon worthy chests from Wisteria. I've seen similar chests used in bedrooms, bathrooms (seriously), and even living rooms.

My question is: What would you do with this chest? It's smaller than the average chest of drawers, but larger than a night stand. Oh, and it's cheaper than the the chests from Wisteria that would range from $999+. This one is going for $35 (or should I say I purchased it for that price!).

see thats where magazines come in...hmmmm I would paint it a fab color and put it up against the wall in a living area. Or dining as a plate or silver ware holder.

What would I do with it? Well...ship it to me and I'll show you!!!

I had a similar one in my previous home's powder bath, in white, and loved it. Great for storing all kinds of stuff! It would work in an entry, in a walk in closet to glam up the space...

What a great find! Janell

Ooooh! I like it (and the price even better)!!

I bought a similar one from Craigslist (tho it IS bigger than a nightstand, it's actual dresser size?? Approx 34-36" high?) and painted it a shade darker than my bedroom walls, it's on his side of the bed and looks so cute.

All of the suggestions here are great and i'm sure wherever it lands, it'll be perfect. Good luck! :-)

Wow, you got a great deal. I would probably use it in my dining room to store linens, extra serving dishes, etc... Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I have a chest of drawers in my entryway. The drawers are a great catchall for keys, mail, papers, etc. and the top of the dresser is great for displaying seasonal decor. My bedroom is fairly large and my bed sits up pretty high so I also use a chest of drawers as a nightstand. It also comes in pretty handy to store extra toiletries such as cosmetics, perfume and seldom used hair supplies. My friend Latasha is currently looking for a narrow set of drawers to store towels and other items in her bathroom.

@Annette - that is EXACTLY what I would do (I'm LaTasha, that's why). I need in my bathroom. LaKeitha - thanks for the link to Little Green Notebook. I love how she painted that dresser red. Annette (my project mentor) would never let me paint a large piece red LOL

I'm with Janell. It seems perfect for a bathroom.

What a great piece of furniture. I would be great in a bathroom, hallway, or as a large side table in a master bedroom. I would fill one of the handle holes and put in silngle glass knobs. I would then prime and paint it a watery blue. Lovely piece! I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Where on earth did you find that for $35.00? Seriously! Please share. I don't know what the heck it is with thrift stores around here but they think they can charge an arm and a leg. Craigslist is slightly better but you have to check it hourly. That is a spectacular piece. I'd put near the front door with a lamp and use it as a drop for my mail.
