SWITCHING THINGS UP

You may have noticed that my posting have become a little scarce lately. I think the problem is the fact that I've been posting on my bedroom for over 3 months now. I don't know about you, but I'm bored with my bedroom! So, to keep things a little more interesting, I plan to switch up the topics for awhile until I find some more things for the room.

Do you remember this dresser?

It is the dresser that I originally purchased for my bedroom. I've been trying to figure out what to do with it and where to place it. Right now, it's sitting in my living room, where I think it may stay (unless I decide to put it in my bedroom!).

Over the weekend, I decided to start painting it. I chose Rustoleums Heirloom White because I figured it would work in another space if I decided to put it somewhere else

And for some reason, I feel the need to highlight the 'etched' part of the drawers

Hmm... Maybe with this?

Or maybe with a color? I don't know. What do you think?

Hi Lakeitha! I'm coming back later, because some of the images aren't showing up...I noticed your comment on Tearing Up Houses, I think you must be right, blogger is having image issues.

Gold leaf pen? That image I did see, this looks very interesting. I'll have to give this product a try, another product to add alongside my beloved Rub n' Buff!!

My blogger is been acting wonky, so I can only see a few pictures, I rember that dresser you bought loved it!

Would the dresser working in your lving room as a tv stand or as a buffet in your dining room?...that would a great option to think about

That's a great dresser! It would make an awesome tv console, if you needed one. Otherwise, I love the look of dressers in living rooms with lamps and artwork. . . I'm curious to see how this gold leaf pen works.

If you read my earlier comment you are probably wondering if I came home with my mind intact. It was a comment of yours I read at Emily's that I referred to, not Tearing up houses!

Anyway, the dresser looks beautiful in its new color, a subtle accenting of the lines would end up looking great. Glad the pictures are up, wonder what the problem was with blogger today!

I love that dresser, and of course I love the legs. I think it looks great in the heirloom, and think you should try the pen on one drawer and see how you feel. if it doesn't look right, just paint over it.

sidenote--did you go back and re-purchase the chairs again???

I just bought a pen this weekend and embellished a picture frame. It will probably make the dresser more formal which is great. It also depends on the look you're going for.

I can never find Heirloom White..never! I think the gold detail might add that perfect amount of sparkle. Which ever way it is a beautiful dresser.
