CABIN FEVER

Many of you may know that the south had snow this week

It was all nice and cute until it didn’t go anywhere and then turned to ice

So now we are on day four of no school and icy roads.  And although the streets have improved a lot, they’re still dangerous. Getting out there last night to pick my sister up from work, the way my car was sliding on the ice they may as well still look like this

snow 016

And I’m a little on the irritated side since my husband and sister have chosen to go to work while me and four boys are still cooped up here in the house.  We have absolutely nothing to do.  I swear, if I play Candy Land or watch Spider Man one more time…..

How’s the weather on your side of town?!

We are in the same boat my dear. One day you will look back and wish you were playing candy land with those sweet boys. Mine don't really need me here anymore, sniff.

Stay safe & warm.

Same here Lakeitha. AND I just got a message from school that it is cancelled until TUESDAY!!! Yep, they're taking the rest of the week and Monday is MLKing holiday. I haven't been out of my house since Sunday. Thankfully my kids are a little older and can self-entertain but still fight. Joy.

Hang in there! Two years ago we had a storm that had us house bond for over 2 weeks...I swear, if it hadn't been for the trips down the street to neighbors I would have lost it! Janell

OH WOW, here in Dallas the streets are all clear now. I can't say I feel your pain about being home with four kids, but I can imagine. It will get better, but I'm sure the kids are really enjoying it.

I live in the Midwest and we have tons of snow - but we also have the resources to keep the roads clear, so that makes it a lot easier! I feel for you! Hope it clears up soon!

By the way, I love that your little guy has his boots on the wrong feet. :) too cute!

Oh yeah, been there done that with Candyland and Monopoly Junior and the dreaded GO FISH. Fortunately we've just enjoyed one snow day this week. Hope it melts away soon!

Brr thats cold!! I would be having cabin fever too! Everything in CA is gloomy but not stormy no reason to complain. Be safe picking up your sister!

I am in the same boat, the kids are still out of school and they have been religiously watching Sponge Bob - help!! Last night I left when my husbend got home and did a little window shopping, just so I could keep some sanity. And don't let me start on them eating me out a house and home.

I can not ever remember the city being shut down like this before!!! A freaking week without school! Unbelievable. We just need a little warm weather to melt this stuff!

We've had snow pretty much every day for the last few weeks except maybe one, but I guess we're "used to it" (does one ever really get used to it?)

Hopefully you'll be able to get out today before you got completely nuts! :-) Have a good weekend...

Hi there! I'm a new follower- saw you over at Janell's and came on over! I clicked because one of my to-do's this year is to get my kid's rooms decorated and my son's room has me a little stumped. Anyhow- you are so funny, and I totally feel your cabin fever pain! We already have a week of make-up days to complete - boo!
