CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS THEN AND NOW

Christmas Day 2009 001

fall crafts 011 Last year my Christmas decorations consisted of blues and silver.  I decorated with those colors for the past three years and decided to try a new color this year.  Stepping out of my comfort zone, I decided to try teal and gold and to add a little whimsy to my decor.  After Sarah tweeted about Walmart’s glittery ornaments for a buck, I ran out and snatched up about 20 of the gold poinsettias and the prettiest birds;-)

Here are a few snippets of my tree…

I can’t get a good picture of the entire tree to save my life! But, here is my best attempt.  Hopefully it’s looking like this because I’m not done decorating it.  We’ll see!

Is it whimsy?  Or is it whimsy?!?!

Have you decorated your tree? What colors are you using this year?!

You guys are getting a sneak peek at the living room new wall color! The new color is Virtual Taupe by Sherwin Williams and I’ll talk more about that later;-)

The tree is stunning, I love this mix of colors! Our tree is a a hodge podge of every ornament I or my family has been given over the last 20 plus years...the kids love it! I'm not posting pictures.

Oooo, very pretty! Love the color combo! Reminds me of a peacock. My tree has basically been the same for the past 16 years -- more or less a lot of crystal, sparkly, reds, gold, silver and glass. One day I might change it up like you did.

It is beautiful! I love the mix of your colors. I didn't put up my big tree this year, but my smaller one is gold & white. It's so fun to see everyone's Christmas!

Your tree is so pretty. I'm not deocrating this year. My wood floors are being prepped for sanding and stain.

What do the boys think about the tree?

Love the tree.I decorated (for the first time ever) the weekend of Thanksgiving. Due to my Hubs request we are going traditional with the colors: Green, Red and gold. I am thinking of Green and blue next year so I don't loose all of the Decor.
If you want to see amazing trees search on FB for "El Arbolito del año"...you'll be amazed!
