GOODWILL FIND SPOTTED IN HOUSE BEAUTIFUL

A few weeks ago, I found milk glass and brass lamp that I didn’t need…IMAG0058

But the lines on this lamp had me at hello!

(notice the dresser in the pic? the pulls arrive today!)

IMAG0059

The other day while flipping through my February issue of House Beautiful, I noticed this picture

Do you see what I see? Yep, a beautiful view out of that window, but what I really noticed was the lamp!

Isn’t that lamp identical to the one I found at Goodwill?! I never get tired of finding great pieces for great prices! My lamp was a smashing $8! I can only imagine how much that one was in the picture. Hopefully the homeowners already owned itWinking smile

What have you found for a steal lately?!

You have the eye, I probably would have walked right past this! Come give me a lesson in thrifting please!! Where is the lamp going? I have a lot of ideas for the shade...:)

Beautiful lamp. The price makes it even more beautiful. OH, and thinking of the conversation about the shade, you can change the harp out for a shorter one.

WOW ! What a lucky find. Can't wait to see where you put it and what shade you use.

Seriously, how often are you going to Goodwill? And which one do you shop at? There are two that I go to periodically in Gwinnett and NEVER have I seen the cute stuff you keep finding. I don't know if it's the stores themselves or the fact that I don't go often enough...

Too much to bore you with. I am constantly amazed by how much great stuff is found at thrift stores. I'm a believer!!

That is a great looking lamp and how fun to see in HB!!! I bought two milk glass lamps for $10 each. I did a little research and they are Warren Kessler lamps, N.Y. and they are almost identical to the lamps in Harry Trumans home made by Warren Kessler. If they were good enough for a president I guess they are good enough for me. Love them and I love your find!!!

If you have a chance would love your opinion on something that is going in my playroom. I did a post on it today, Happy Wednesday, KS

I once saw a set of yellow faux bamboo lamps at GW for $8 each. Did I buy them? No. Did I see them in a magazine a couple weeks later? Yes! Grrr.

You've been having a real run of luck lately.

I love this lamp I'm sure you will find the perfect spot for it. Last week I found two Thomaspaul pillows, check out my post on them at my blog http://loretta-aplacecallhome.blogspot.com/.
Nothing like finding a bargain.

Wow! Lucky you! The lamp is great find. Aren't you clever to spot it elsewhere too? I love your new art for the hallway too, by the way.
