NURSERY NEWS: THE BABY IS COMING!

I had planned to go over to my sister in laws house this morning, but at around 2:30 this morning, I got a call from her saying that her water broke!!! What? No, you have to wait Sharon! Tell the baby to wait was my first reaction! But, of course, that wasn’t possible so off she went to the hospital!  I usually have access to the house with a key that she leaves for me, but with all of the excitement, that was forgotten about!

So instead of hauling the finished changing table to her house

I may just start on a little project involving these

These are some folders that I found at Target and I thought they could be used to create art in the room! We’ll se how that goes!

and the colors work so well with the fabrics in the room

Okay, so I’ll start on the project now and tweet about the progress.  And as soon as I find out if it’s a boy or girl, I’ll let you know!!!

Have you ever made art from something that was intended for another use?  I’d love to hear about it!

All the time. I'm a huge fan of using fabric as art. I think just about anything can be framed or framed out if it has a good design element to it.

Congrats to your sister in law :) Those prints are so cute...love the yellow frames too. I recently used some fabric swatches as artwork...perfect little compliment to our living room

Love the folder --> art thing. I do that kind of stuff too. I love going to art fairs. Lots of artists sell notecards with prints of their larger $$$ work--several of these with a theme can magically create a piece of new art.

Wow, Congratulations to your sister!!! Your nursery projects are going to be so awesome. She is so lucky to have you as a sis. You have to share pictures once it's complete.

Oh, btw, those most of those letters came from Homegoods. The rest of the art was a mixture from Homegoods, Ikea and Target.

Have a great weekend. I hope you will be loving on a sweet little one all weekend long. xo, c-

That's the cutest changing table. I'm looking for a french dresser to paint yellow for a nursery as well. You have a good eye!

Oh, congrats to the new Mommy (ahead of time) and thanks for sharing this room with us.
Going back to your weight post I have to say I'm on the same boat. I don't drink enough water and my food intake is not huge but the problem is WHAT I eat. 4 spoons of sugar in my coffee. I have to have something sweet EVERYDAY. And the kind of food from my homeland is not terrible but it doesn't includes much vegetables.
I've been reading this blog for inspiration...go look and see her, Kenz is awesome (and she has lost 112lbs!): http://alltheweigh2009.blogspot.com/

I'm too starting a new meal plan. Best of luck.
