After seeing centsational girl's painted closet doors, I knew that I had to do the same to my laundry doors in my family room. The problem now is that I feel like I should do something else to them. I've already added new hardware from hobby lobby, but there is still something missing. I don't know if its stencil or maybe paint. Also my bathroom door is next to the laundryroom doors so I'm wondering if it should be painted as well.
What do you think. Let me say first: I am really not liking this color anymore! Anywhoooo... Yeah I need your feed back so let it rip!

YES! Stencils is what's needed or some artwork. I recall a BLOG you advised me of months ago. And you have countless idea, so don't give up on the paint. But at the same time, remember how long it took you to do it. But also remember that if your not happy with the paint, you'll forever be OK, but never become one with your design. One thing I've learned as a previous HOME DECOR hater, is that you've got to love each and every part of your house. I mean even something as small as a toliet tissue holder, you the woman of the house must love! Also love the new music, I was getting tired of Beyonce.
I can't really tell from the photos if the larger set of doors is painted brown or if they are still natural wood; but, either way, I'd have both doors painted the same because they are so close to each other. What else do you have in the room? Take your color choices from the rest of the room, at least for the largest portion of the doors and paint the accents with your room's trim color (a shade of white would make it more classy; two different colors can be tacky, depending upon the colors).
Good luck. This looks like a fun project!

Hello! My first thought was that the other door needs to be painted, too. Oh, yessiree, it definitely must be to keep the flow. I like the color, but then again I'm new here, color on monitors vary, and I don't have to live in the room, etc. I was just looking at a stenciled pantry door the other day on a blog, wonder if that's what SIL is referring to? If i find it again, i'll let you know.
I love what SIL says about loving every little detail of your house. I'm nowhere NEAR that in my home, but do remember being overly excited about a new toilet flusher handle. :D
Hi Lakeitha...having two doors right next to one another in different colors would drive me crazy! I know, I'm suggesting even more work! :) I too like the comment about loving all the details in your home, the downside is how much time and effort that takes! Janell
