CARS BEDROOM: Bedding

So the other day I took a trip to IKEA in search of bedding for the boys room.  I couldn’t get a duvet out of my head that I saw on a previous trip when I purchased the beds

My sister on the other hand had her eye on another duvet for the boys room

One side is horizontal stripes while the other consisted of vertical stripes and bolder stripes of red, green, blue, and yellow.

I posed the question on twitter asking which one should I choose and surprisingly I received equal votes! I must admit, not giving the second duvet much thought the first time, I’m starting to think that it may be cool in the room!  Since the vote was tied I decided to go with my original choice for their room-

DSCN3739  I think it’s too plain for the space.  But, I think with a throw or a green sheet and a toss pillow, it could work.  What do you think?  What I like about the other duvet is the horizontal black and white stripes on the other side.

What do you think? Circles or stripes?!

This is a hard one. I like them both. When I shared a bedroom with my brother we have coordinating bed sets.

Wow, I actually think the striped style might be the one, it will be a lot, but then the whole room is about going for it!

They are both pretty, but I think I'm liking the stripes better too. Just has a lot of pizazz and reversible is always good!

I think the stripes would be a better choice. It already reminds me of a racetrack or racecars without being too cartoon-y.

I like the stipes. It's colorful and playful. Just as the design of the space.

I like the strips. It's more fitting for little boys while the circles is something I would want in my own room. Which reminds me, the guest room needs a new comforter....

I am in favor of the strips, it is more fitting for boys. When I first saw the circles I thought adult room. And this is just in relation to my two boys, I could never put a mostly white anything in their room! But the strips add a great pop of color.

I like the circles. I think that once you are done accessorizing the room and bed, it will be fine but not too busy. Just my two cents. :) But then again, I have plain white and ivory on all of my beds! :)

Hands down, the 2nd choice is better. It is so 'fun' looking. I'm with your sister on this one!

Stripes! Stripes! Definitely.I think it fits your design. It's punchy (read;young boys) the circles just don't seem to add any character.

Stripes and color! This seems to "fit" with the race car theme and they're little boys. I could totally see the white with circles getting grimier by the day and having to be washed way too often.

Go with the stripes, Lakeitha, you know you want to!

The stripes just feel like they fit the vibe of the room better. I can't wait to see how it all turns out - you've done an awesome job on it so far.
