SPRUCING UP THE BLOG

Hi guys! I'm alive and well over here. I have a million things to do around here and I was recovering from yet another cold (well, me and my 3yo). Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and ask your opinon on the new look of the blog? For a while I've been wanting to revamp it and make it seem not so "motherly"! I also wanted it to be clean and crisp and easy on the eyes. I have a few things to do before it's completely done.

Also, the address is still
http://www.home23duncanboys.com/ but the name of the blog has changed. So you may notice that in your reader or email. Its now Ramblings of a mother, decorator, and DIY'er. That may change too since it was something I came up with on a whim.

The best way to know that your blog is nice and reader friendly is to ask the people who read the blog what it need and what they would like to see. So.... What else do I need (besides a nice header!)? What did I take away that you liked? Can you even see this post?! Ok, I was being funny with the last one:)

Thanks for your help! I'll be back soon with regular posts.

I understand the need for change as well. I'm currently working on my blog too and I hope to have it up in the next few days. Anyway, back to your blog! I love the new look. Very easy on the eyes. So, I guess you accomplished your goal there. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for the new blog! Keep up the good work Lakeitha.

Hi there,
Loving the look of the blog but feel like your header needs to me more vibrant and energetic, much like your personality. You exude such life through your blog and I think that needs to come through visually. The format is easy to read and I love your content so push ahead. I know it will be great when it is all said and done!

I really like it, a lot a lot. Although for some reason on my screen it's coming across somewhat wide...making it so I have to scroll to the right to be able to see your "My Botique" tab.

Congrats to you!

Loving the BIG text!!! But I agree...maybe the header should be a little more exciting cause you are so cute! Did you do it yourself???

I like the new layout - maybe add in some pics on the sidebar of your home or projects?

I like the direction a lot, it fits where you are going! I love the name, like a couple others mentioned, maybe more color? Janell

Looks like we're on the same path! I like where you're headed BUT I'll never get over your old background. So beautiful!! It's the reason I started following you to begin with ... silly reason I know, but I'm so glad I did :)

If you don't use it as a background perhaps you could incorporate one of the flowers in to your header or buttons?

I actually like the new layout and the white background, it does make it user friendly. One thing I would suggest is maybe a more girly, chic, modern or whatever they call it type of font. Lol, as you can see I am not that good at description...sorta like your the font you were using for Swoon Worthy. I really liked that font:) Also I like the title and you can incorporate the mother, decorator, and diy'er into a tagline. That's just a thought. I had a blog critique one time and was told that the tag lines gives the reader a good idea what your blog is about. Oh yeah, I love the bigger picture also:) Ok, I'm done lol.

Hi there...Maybe the header should have a graphic or something that shouts "LAKEITHA"...Also perhaps the font for the posts could be a bit smaller.. Whatever you do, have fun and I'll still be checking in to see what you and your boys are up to...Cheers!

Wow, it looks great here! I love how you did the quote on the side! I miss seeing your little guys looking out the window, but I am sure I can find pics of them throughout the blog. Great work!!
