I was given the opportunity to try Head & Shoulders Apple shampoo and conditioner recently and wanted to share my experience. You may remember I tried their Eucalyptus shampoo and conditioner a while back and loved it, so of course I was excited to try this product!
Because I am going natural (no more chemically processed hair), I don’t wash my hair with shampoo as much as I used to. Nowadays, I shampoo wash my hair maybe twice a month and the remaining washes consist of conditioner only.
It has been about a week and a half since the last time I washed my hair (at all), so it really needed to be washed. Plus, later tonight my husband and I will be heading out to go to his sister's surprise party!
(before washing)
Can I say how much I love the fresh green apple scent of this shampoo?!
I usually wash my hair in the shower, but because I wanted to give a detailed review of this product, I decided to start washing before I got into the shower!
After wetting my hair, I started using the shampoo
(You can see I already put a little in my hair!)
Then after a good rubbing, I worked up a lather.
Another thing I love about this Head & Shoulders shampoo is it doesn’t take a lot to get a good lather.
Now that I have “washed” my hair for you in the mirror, it’s time to hop in the shower and finish I will also be using the conditioner.
While I’m washing my hair, let me point out a few pointers about Head & Shoulders shampoo and conditioner:
Their advanced formula relieves scalp itch, dryness, irritation, and helps prevent flakes while improving hair and scalp health. I can attest to that because with my short hair, I had some dryness and scalp itch. That’s no longer a problem of mine!
Their product cleanses your hair and scalp, leaving a fresh green apple scent. It absolutely does! The apple scent smells so good!
Its gentle and pH balanced for everyday use even on color treated or permed hair. I’m not so sure about the gentleness on permed and color treated hair because I don’t have either one.
I have noticed that the way my hair feels after using the shampoo (before the conditioner) is no different than other shampoos I’ve used before. I’m not a big fan of shampoo myself, but hey, this one took my itchy scalp away, so it's all right with me!
Alright, here is a shot of the conditioner in my hair.
The Head & Shoulders conditioner is very thick, and I love that! The conditioner does not fail when it comes to leaving your hair soft. Like I said earlier, shampoo in general is not my best friend, but as long as a conditioner can make up for the way shampoo leaves my hair feeling dry, it has done its job!
So there you have it, another great product from Head & Shoulders!
Now, let me run, I have to find something to wear tonight!!!
