GOODWILL FINDS

A few weeks ago I was able to stop by two thrift stores and I wanted to share some great finds with you

This bamboo coffee table with a caned inlayed bottom shelf was structurally sound, but it needed a little TLC. Nothing that a can of spray paint won’t fix!

This was my favorite find of the day. This buffet, when painted, could rival one from Pieces here in Atlanta! And it was in perfect condition for only $50!

I tweeted about these chairs! I wanted them so bad, but I knew that I didn’t have a place to use them. They would look great in an office! paired side by side in front of a desk. And they were only $8.98!

I brought this chair home with me for the desk in TJ’s room. There was two and I should have purchased the other.

I took this bag to New York with me! This is a Michaels Kors bag and yes it’s real! And for only $16.99 I had to have it! You can also see my teal Ball jars under the bag! I was so excited to find them!

I would have loved to have a use for these! Again a great price at $8.98 each!

I started this thing where I wouldn’t buy furniture pieces if I don’t need them, but I’ve received many emails from people here in Atlanta asking if I know of good spots to find deals. My answer is always the same---I WISH! My favorite stores are Goodwill’s, Target, and Homegoods, and IKEA if I’m looking for inexpensive home furnishings.

What about you? Do you have any “Go TO” stores for great deals?

Nice! I only get small pieces of furniture from my GW's, for the most part, because they overprice most of the furniture here. I'm only 2hrs away from ATL and we're planning an IKEA trip soon so maybe we'll have to hit a GW or two. :-)

All fabulous finds! I've been striking out lately at Goodwill, but it hasn't stopped me from stalking the one near my house at least once a week!

I live in Atlanta and the 2 Goodwills near me never have such nice finds in furniture. I think I'm going to have to venture outside to surrounding counties.

I've said this in a comment to each of your Goodwill posts and will say it again, I don't find anything like this in the store near me!! If I did I would have a garage full of projects in the waiting! Great finds...Janell

WHOA!!!!! I agree...Id store those babies til I could find a place. The buffett looks very similiar to one I saw in my Goodwill...which I bought. All of these pieces could work well together. I have friends in your area...I now have a reason to visit!

Great finds!

It must be an ATL thing, because those prices are silly LOW!! Here in Cali the buffet would have been at least $140 at Goodwill or Salvation Army!

I really think my local thrift stores have caught on and have been upping prices! lol

Can't complain too much, the money goes the charity and its still less then shopping elsewhere!

Love the coffee table too

My last trip to the Salvation Army found me staring down a hutch my Mum donated for free that was now priced at $150! Beyond that, nothing much caught my eye. Now had I been on your side of the country, I would've definitely grabbed those end tables (with nowhere to put them).

I live in ATL, but never find much that isn't over priced. I'd love to know which Goodwills you shop. I give them a ton of stuff, but most of what I see is overpriced. One store I go through occasionally had a doll that someone must have thought was valuable. Never mind it sat on the the shelf for two years. :-)
