THE TALE OF TWO CHAIRS

I'm pretty sure you've seen the two chairs that Janell (Isabella and Max rooms) purchased and had redone. If not then you can read about them here. Well ever sense I saw her chairs (not to mention their transformation), I have been on the look out for my own. Yesterday was the day! My mom wanted to stop at a Goodwill before we headed home and guess what was there waiting....

Not one, but two of the exact chairs that Janell have. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME! What are the chances of that happening? This is the best part...They are $25 each!! Okay so why am I still talking about the chairs as if I don't own them? Because I don't. I didn't have a way to get them home:( But, there is a possibility that they can still be mine. Right now as of 6:38pm the chairs are still there. If they are still there at 9:00am tomorrow morning then they are mine! Guys please, please, please cross your fingers for me, because I really want those chairs. I wanted them before I even knew they existed! And if you're still wondering why I want them, then you obviously didn't go to Janell's blog and look at hers so go there now!

Edited to add more pictures of the chairs now that they are home! I do have to have them redone. Besides the seats being hard, the fabric is a 1970's gold color that goes with absolutely nothing in my home! I've never had anything reupholstered before, and I don't have a clue as to where to start. Have you ever had to redo furniture and if so share your experience.

GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are the exact ones!!!!!!! In fact, the fabric looks similar to the fabric the people at Kepler's unearthed when taking off the horrid little floral print that was on mine!

Crazy...go get them girl!

So...I had seen the chairs on Isabellas & Max and now yours. I happend to walk into Goodwill today after having lunch with my husband and I found a matching set of chairs similar to the pair of yours! I have taught myself to do upholstery and in fact posting a post tonight all about DIY upholstering furniture. It wil be a 101 Tutorial and will have several posts linked to it to give the best info. on it. Make sure to see when I do. I too will be doing a video/tutorial as I work on my new chairs. You will never believe how much I paid for mine...$2.99 a piece!!! I know a great deal!! I know they are antiques and trying to see what I can find out about them. If you have any questions that I can help you with on your chair just e-mail me!

Hugs friend,
~Victoria~
