Here is the kitchen when we purchased the house:
Here is the same angle with newly painted cabinets:
Now if I can just get a new dishwasher already!
Here is another before:
and that same angle, again with painted cabinets:
I did paint the walls a different color than the before photo. Before the Walls were a honey mustard color and now the are SW Sands of Time. I'm not in love with the color, but Janell said don't worry about the paint until I choose my big items for the room. So until I get my absolute black granite counter tops, wood floors, and subway tile back splash, the wall color stays! The painter who is painting our house agreed to paint the breakfast table, but my only problem is choosing the right color. Should it be black with white chairs or black with black chairs or white.....tough choices, but it must be made soon!
BTW, this is the table and I do have four chairs, but I'm sitting in one right now since my office chair is still in the garage sanded, but not painted!
I'm linking this up to Kimba's DIY day at A Soft Place to Land

Great job! I'm loving the "new" white cabinets (and the new appliances). Must be a huge relief to have it done.

Great Job! I'm in the process of re-doing my kitchen as well. I haven't gotten to painting the cabinets yet. We put crown molding on top of the cabinets over the weekend.

It looks great! I love white kitchens, there so fresh and clean - can't wait to tackle mine! I have a simular style dining table, I'm going to restain ours a dark espresso and slipcover the chairs with white - just an idea
Love it! I so want to paint my kitchen cabinets white also, but I never complete big projects in a timely manner and we can't afford to eat everyday for 3 months because I still have the kitchen under construction! LOL.
They look great, what a wonderful improvement, it looks fresh and bright. Wow, I'd better think twice before I start giving out advice...I might be quoted!! Thanks.
As for the table, now I hestitate to say, I might be held accountable for my answer! :)
Go with your gut, you'll know what feels right.
Have a great one! Janell
Very nice and light...you may even consider distressing them to give them an antiqued look and change out the knobs. That may play off the mustard walls well. I think once you get some stuff up on the walls and/or in the back splash area, you may not even notice the wall color so much. Looking good!
Beautiful. I just love white cabinets - brightens up the kitchen. I can't wait to see it all come together with your beautiful decorating talent. ;)

the white gives it more "light"...lookin good girlie..you go girl. I dont know about the table and chairs...im confused..sorry.
Finally, another one of your fabulous projects completed and it looks great! And I think you should move on to another dynamic project, like the pantry or finish up your master bathroom, or start on the boys room (that's my next major project). Or utilize your new calendar that I emailed you and see how many more projects your can have done by Christmas. Also it's time, for you to plan a BLOGGER weekend. Where all the BLOGGER can meet for a fun filled weekend in PC Beach, NY, MIA, or Atlanta so everyone can meet one another. Would that be great or what! And maybe we could have a portfolio contest. Just a thougt!
what a HUGE difference the white makes, it's incredible! i will have to bookmark to see what paint color you decide and what other progress you make (and hopefully you're able to get that new dishwasher you're wanting!)
Those looks fantastic! I love white cabinets and cannot wait to paint mine.
We painted our cabinets white too.. Well the before cabinets were SUPPOSED to be white but they were actually a wanna be yellow, might be brownish dirty white color. Ew!! They're popcorn white now and I adore them.
I love what you've done!

What a difference! I've heard it's a pain - totally worth it!
They look great! I will paint mine after the holidays.

Great job on your kitchen! I painted my cabinets and added subway tile, too (although my cabinets were not in as good of shapes as yours) and I love the way they came out. As for your table, I have one just like it and I love it. My choice would be a glossy black, because I think it would look great with the countertops. What color floors are you thinking about?
I'm all about black painted furniture, so I vote black table! I love what you've done with the room so far and can't wait to see it when it's done!
I love the white cabinets and the new wall color, so pretty! I also think black for the table would be nice if you get black countertops.
I want my cabinets white too! It's amazing how paint changes the look of it all. I just painted my kitchen table and chairs. I did a white table with black chairs. Feel free to stop by and check them out.
I love my white cabinets, even more after a new paint job last summer. We have the same fridge (I think). I think the table would look great black. I am saving for new counter tops and new flooring right now. Our kitchen is a very long galley style and I am afraid our floor will need to be stregthened to hold up ceramic tile. Exciting, isn't it?
