Okay so the other day I shared some of the plans that I had for the nursery I’m designing for my sister inlaw. Today, I’m here to share the space in its current state and how things will be arranged. I figure you’ll be able to get a better idea.
Here is the space upon entering the room (ignore the mess we are sorting and removing things!)
This is the wall on the right (when entering the room) in which a sleeper sofa will be placed
This is the sofa sleeper to be exact!
See how the shower curtain (soon to be pillows) look on the sofa?!
The wall color will stay which is great with the color scheme too
The changing table that I am painting yellow will be placed by the double windows
Also (in the above photo), do you see the sofa on the left? That’s where the crib (in the box on the floor) will go.
On this wall (again, where the sleeper will be), I plan to add some alphabet wall cards
These to be exact
On this wall is where I plan to add this print
Or maybe I can add some pegs/hooks to hang the baby clothes
Hmm…You know, the changing table could work on that wall next to the closet. That way I could do the above set up. I’ll have to see the space left with the crib and the sleeper sofa. I got a message yesterday saying that the crib is assembled! I can’t wait to show you. I love it!
I’ll be working on this space Friday and possibly Saturday, so I’m going to have a lot more to share with you next week!

I love that you are changing a shower curtain into a pillow - so inventive!
Looks great, and I agree with Mr. Bright.Bazaar! Love your thinking.Seems like it's going to be a fabulous + functional room. BTW all your talk of red and yellow inspired my post today :)
I was thinking about you yesterday and how this room was coming along! Thanks for the update...love the prints on the shower curtains and like the above comment, great idea to turn them into pillows! Looking forward to seeing more...work fast girl! Janell
I love the whole scheme and the flash cards are just adorable.
One concern though...I was advised when designing our nursery that it was not a good idea to place changing tables or cribs next to windows...for safety reasons...just passing the information along.
This looks like so much fun! I LOVE the shower curtain pillow idea. And I'm crazy about your last two inspiration photos - I want one of those alphabet prints so bad, and I'm really digging the placement of the hooks/bar next to the changing table. I just might have to incorporate that into my little girl's nursery :)
Oh, and @Nina Patricia, I believe the concern is from the cords on a window blind. As far as having a changing table near a window, your child would never be on the table without you right there, so it shouldn't be a problem. I would definitely keep the crib as far away from a window as possible.
I love how you are laying out you plan. That saves you a lot of rework and give you time to think through decisions. Can't wait to see what you do. Post, step by step, please.
What a nice size room! I love the sofa perfect idea for a nursery! :) The pillows will look cute on it :)
I love the plan that you're putting together. It's coming along nicely and I'm sure that its going to be beautiful when you're done. Can't wait to see.
You've got a great space to work with. Loving all of your fabric choices and color combos. Your prints are adorable. This will not look like your average "budget design." Happy Decorating
Cant wait to see the final room revel, you got some great pieces to work with. By the way where did you find the alphabet print with the LOVE in it?
