I realized that I didn't post about my new hardware and curtains/drapes in the bedroom. Here is a peek
Looking at this photo reminds me that I was suppose to have painted the inside of the window (frame/box?), so now I have to go back and do that.
I purchased the hardware from J C Penney and they are by Cindy Crawford. I also purchased the bamboo blinds from JCP at a pretty good price ($20 each). I like the layered look.
I'm currently training the curtains! What am I talking about you ask? Check out this post by Janell and find out! I hope mine turn out half as good as hers!!!
I'll talk more about the curtains in an upcoming post. Have you ever "trained" your curtains before?!

Ooh a peak at the hardware! I've been on the look out for white curtains for my bedroom too - how do you like these ones?
I havn't trained curtaions yet - but thanks to Janell's post and yours I plan on it!
The hardware looks beautiful against the chocolate paint...and won't they look great with the dresser hardware?! Love the layered look as well & thanks for the mention...(I suspect people are going to start realizing how crazy I am.)
Janell
I was just about to ask you what was going on with the drapes! It's obvious I haven't read Janelle's post, so I'm heading over there now . . .
You're doing an awesome job! Keep up the momentum!
I dont paint the inside of my windows ever...i guess its a choice...but looking at the master that was done professionally, they painted the inside...
I say PASS GO on the painting. It looks good. and YES Train'em because they will be so much better. My Mother does this and for a long time I was like WTH is she doing now. I now know. I have white curtains but not sure which route I am going with them. Cant wait to see the finished look.
Amaziiiing job! thus far
I love this "crazy" idea of training drapes. I will be trying this!
have you let the curtains loose? if so post a pic please.
thanks,
I've seen janell's training - and right away, i decided to do mine. Have I gotten around to it yet? No. (procrastinator here!)
Love your new header. Cute!
Oh, and yes, paint the inside of the windows. I had to do mine, also. No trim molding here, either.
