Hi guys! I know that I left you hanging yesterday by not showing you the ‘drapes’ hung, but I didn’t get batteries for my camera until yesterday evening. Please forgive me:-)
I wish I knew the best way to take pictures of windows, but I don’t so these pictures are really crappy. No matter what setting I put the camera on, I could not get a good shot.
As I said in the last post, I chose not to line them. The reason for that is because I like somewhat of a layered look when it comes to windows. I decided to use bamboo shades behind the drapes to block out sun, and to give the view of the window from the outside a more clean look.
And before I forget, my prints from Mrs. Limestone arrived the other day and I wanted to show you how they look
Here are a few close ups
I am so pleased with these prints that I’ve decided to order more to help finish off that wall!
Now, I need to gather family pictures for over the bed!
Hopefully I’ll be finished with this room by next weekend. I still have to find a desk (or work on the one I have), decide on lighting, find a desk chair, add the last bit of accessories. Not to bad, huh?! So what do you think? Do you like the direction that the room is headed in? Do you have any questions about anything I’ve done in the space so far?
I hope you all have a happy and safe Independence Day!

Looking good, I love how the curtain panels turned out, and love the bamboo shade. Happy 4th!
The curtains are wonderful. I love the print and the paint color is so fun, what color is it? I can't wait until its all done! Way to go!
The curtain fabric is perfect! Looking so good :)
And, I do love Stefanie's photography. Wish I had her skills.
The drapes look amazing, I can't believe they were done with Stitch Witchery...why am I torturing myself by sewing them?!? I know what you mean about shooting pictures into light, despite that the pictures look good! Enjoy your 4th!!!!

Those curtains look amazing!! You did a great job! I believe I will be making my own No Sew curtains in the near future!!!!
The curtains turned out great, LaKeitha and Mrs. Limestone's prints are a the perfect fit to your room design. Your hard work in completing this room is paying off!
Wow, your son bedroom is amazing, I like the theme somewhat Cape Cod feel.
Love the drapes too. where did you buy the fabric? did you get it online or at local store.
Happy 4th...
Everything is looking so nice, I love the fabric you choose for your drapes!
Love it, love it, love it
Great job! I love the color and pattern. I also love the pattern of your background. Happy 4th!
Looks great, love that fabric for the curtains.
The drapes look fantastic! The room is coming together so nicely.
great job you have done...
I LOVE the way this room has come together so far. You've inspired me to spend just a little more time putting my son's new room together (other than just picking out paint and curtains to go with his comforter : ) )...thanks!
This room looks great! Love the headboard and the framed groupings. My favorite window treatments are layered the way you have done.

I love the fabric you chose and the drapes look so great, even for not sewing. I just bought my first sewing machine and am about to attempt to sew some drapes- yikes!
