BIG BOY BEDROOM: No Sew Drapes {reveal}

Hi guys! I know that I left you hanging yesterday by not showing you the ‘drapes’ hung, but I didn’t get batteries for my camera until yesterday evening. Please forgive me:-)

I wish I knew the best way to take pictures of windows, but I don’t so these pictures are really crappy. No matter what setting I put the camera on, I could not get a good shot.

As I said in the last post, I chose not to line them. The reason for that is because I like somewhat of a layered look when it comes to windows. I decided to use bamboo shades behind the drapes to block out sun, and to give the view of the window from the outside a more clean look.

And before I forget, my prints from Mrs. Limestone arrived the other day and I wanted to show you how they look

I am so pleased with these prints that I’ve decided to order more to help finish off that wall!

Now, I need to gather family pictures for over the bed!

Hopefully I’ll be finished with this room by next weekend. I still have to find a desk (or work on the one I have), decide on lighting, find a desk chair, add the last bit of accessories. Not to bad, huh?! So what do you think? Do you like the direction that the room is headed in? Do you have any questions about anything I’ve done in the space so far?

I hope you all have a happy and safe Independence Day!

The drapes look amazing, I can't believe they were done with Stitch Witchery...why am I torturing myself by sewing them?!? I know what you mean about shooting pictures into light, despite that the pictures look good! Enjoy your 4th!!!!

I LOVE the way this room has come together so far. You've inspired me to spend just a little more time putting my son's new room together (other than just picking out paint and curtains to go with his comforter : ) )...thanks!

This room looks great! Love the headboard and the framed groupings. My favorite window treatments are layered the way you have done.

I love the fabric you chose and the drapes look so great, even for not sewing. I just bought my first sewing machine and am about to attempt to sew some drapes- yikes!
