NURSERY NEWS

Hi guys! Thanks for all your comments on the boys first day of school! They love it and I must say that I've been handling the seperation quite well myself!
I'm currently in the midst of doing my next project which happens to be a nursery. Um, no, its not what you think! It's for my sister inlaw who will soon welcome her second baby! I have about 5 weeks to put the room together. Less than that if I want to finish before the due date! I've compiled some of my favorite nurseries from Houzz to share with you:
design by Sarah Richardson

Coddington Design traditional kids

Green Nursery with non-VOC YOLO paint, Mural, traditional trim traditional kids

Sarah Richardson contemporary kids

design by Sarah Richardson

Love these nurseries! My sister inlaw decided not to find out the sex of the baby so it will be a unisex "themed" room. I can't wait to share with you the plan for the space. Look for it tomorrow!
What do you like in a nursery? Do you like bright colors? Or are you more of the clean/classic type of person?!

Oh what an exciting project! I have recently finished 2 nursery projects and had so much fun.

Every one is so different some are bright, some are playful some are more on the grown up side. I tend to look at the parents personalities and likes than work from there!
That 3rd room is one of my fav a great mix of play with the tree and warmth with the fabric!!
Good luck, have fun!

The look of nurseries have recently changed, very updated and less predicable. I like the modern twist and Sarah Richardson certainly knows how to do a nursery! What a fun project! Janell

Oh these are all so lovely! I'm so excited to watch you design another space :)

I love the look of the Sarah Richardson rooms and the Bill Fry.

I like soothing overall colors with pops of colors thrown in here & there. Like the designs you chose.

When my kids were in daycare they switched all the baby decor from bright colors to soft colors and said they found new research that suggests bright colors aren't exactly best for baby and could be too overpowering.

Sarah Richardson is amazing - the way she mixes fabrics is so perfect!

If you're taking cues from her I know your design will be great!!

You get to have fun planning a nursery without going through another pregnancy. Sounds like a good deal to me. All of the images would work as a unisex room. This will be fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I don't discriminate - I love all great design but I am most drawn to vibrant, happy spaces. Sis-in-law is lucky to have you designing her new baby's space. Can't wait to see more!

I love all of the rooms! Especially the sky blue one with the tree coming from behind the crib. I think I'm definitely more of a fan of bright, fun colors.

Can't wait to see all of your plans! xo

Phew, I have so much to read to get caught up!! Loving all the design ideas for your sister in law. We are starting on the nursery this weekend too. The chair came in and we are painting. That san fran design job with the tree and the aqua blue walls reminds me of the color we are doing in the nursery.

I love the "new" look of nurseries these days. Need to find some cool fabric for drapes in my son's nursery.
