WANTING SOMETHING LIGHTER...

I tweeted the other day that I think I may change the color of my bedroom and boy did I cause a frenzy!

Don't get me wrong, I love the color of my room and I like what I've done so far. The problem is that once I start on a project, if I don't finish it in a certain amount of time, I lose interest in it because I'm ready to try something new. Do any of you get like that?

Right now I'm currently crushing on this image that I ran across when doing a google search of bedrooms

I know, the complete opposit of what I have right now, huh?! I'll figure out what I'm going to do soon, but for now......

Ooo, I'm loving the china cabinet in the room, that would be such a fabulous and unexpected feature in a master bedroom.

That room is very fabulous - but I have to say I love your room just as much! I'm always biased toward chocolate brown...

I'm with you. Our bedwoom is currently brown and Robin egg's blue. I love it but I've been craving a white conforter set and lighter tones.
Either way I know it would look fabulous, just like you.

Love the fresh blue/gray in the bedroom...you know, the floor in this room is nearly the same color as your walls. So maybe you need to just incorporate some of the wall color into your room...or just knock yourself out and start over! :) I'll be watching.

I love the chocolate brown but the lighter bedroom looks tempting. I agree with Janell...try to incorporate the lighter colors of the second image and if you don't like it, break out the paint brushes!

I love your bedroom! I think EVERYONE is trying to lighten up these days. Just stay true to what you like all year round. I am going to do a post on this soon. It's so hard to not want to change everything when you see everyone lighten up! Not that you are doing that though...:)

Is that a tres ceiling in there? That would look fabulous painted too! :)

too funny - how about adding some of the lighter elements of the sea blue into your bedroom and see how you like it? Maybe start with your bedding and go room there?

I do the same thing my husband hates it, I repaint a room before i even finish it but in the end the second color always works out better!

I say go for it!! Do what you love!

If it helps at all, I do the same thing. I like your room now, but the image is also very pretty. Sometimes I wait so long to make a change that I end up changing my mind before I even start. Do you do that?

Thanks for being so excited with me on the floors project :)

The dark brown was a brave choice, and a good one, but if you want a change, why not be brave again and go for a nice, bold and confident turquoise! Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do! Good luck!

I say go for it! I love a light space for the bedroom!

Hubby and I picked out paint samples in the same blue hue last week for our bedroom! I love your inspiration room.

My bedroom was the same shade of brown as yours in our previous house. I didn't finish our room either so I certainly understand:) You've done a nice job thus far.

once I start a project I chage things up at least 10 times, and that does include painting a few times too. I guess I never have any finished rooms in my house, things area always changing- I totally get how you feel!

I'm crushing on the same blue tones these days and I have nothing blue in my home! Strange...I keep thinking maybe it will pass but I'm thinking I need to give in and move from warms to cool. Go for it!

That is such a pretty shade, I can see why you'd want a change.

I looove the brown, but i also loove the lighter shade, and it seems that all the DIY people are moving in that direction and i likey..especially since i live in military housing, and we CANT paint these horrible white walls.

(also, i get bored fast to and dont finish projects..lol)

Oh, I love your inspiration pic. I think I might just snatch that one right up for my forever home file. That pic would make me want to paint too. Glad we chatted today or I might not have known about your giveaway :) I love Canadian House and Home!
