SERENA AND LILY PART 2

I'm so excited right now because last night I was able to see much anticipated photos of my blog friend Cristi Holcombs work on a model home she recently finished in Texas.

All of the rooms are gorgeous (SERIOUSLY)! But, one in particular caught my attention. Although I've known that she was doing this room for months, it was a total shock when I was actually able to see it done!

Here is the Serena & Lily Room that inspired both her bedroom design and my design for my sons bedroom

And here is my version of the room

And here is the room done by Cristi!

I love the sisal ottomans she used, the parsons desk next to the bed, the lamps attached to the palettes, the yellow chair, and the letters on the wall above the bed! Is it safe to say that I love the the entire room?! Great job Cristi! Now, if you guys are still reading this, please head over her blog to see the rest of the rooms in the house! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Have a great weekend!

That is so great how great minds work! Like Niki says, it's nice to see how each person puts their spin on it. I hope you're having a great day.

Wow, so much fun to see the three versions of this room, the original inspiration and the interpretations. I love the sisal rug and yellow chair in Cristi's version, but I am still loving yours best!! I love your more vibrant green walls, the light fixture and stripes in the closet, to mention a few of my favorite elements of your design. I'm allowed to play favorites. :) Janell

LaKeitha, this is a great example of how we can find inspiration in the same image, yet interpret them in different ways. Both of you ladies did a wonderful job!

Thanks so much for featuring my room along with yours! I have to say that I'm still in love with your striped closet. I do think that it is crazy how even though we looked at the same image our rooms came out totally different.

Have a great weekend! -c

I love that you posted this! It's so much fun to see how the same inspiration can be interpreted differently, both with great results!
