TREE STUMPED

Hi guys! I didn't make it to my sister's house yesterday. I really needed a day to myself to have some "ME" time! I had a date with myself which was just what I needed. You know, we all need that. Time to not worry about anyone or anything but what we want. It was good!

Anywho... I'm a little stumped about something for the nursery. In my original plan, I wanted to bring in a tree decal for behind the crib. The problem? Well, that little thing called a budget creeped in and put that on the back burner. But, I really can't see the space without a tree! So what does any soon to be auntie (again) do to make sure a tree is in the space? She puts it on her tab of course! I mean seriously. It's the least I can do and we can just say it's a gift from me, right?! Oh, and I already know that you're probably wondering why I don't just paint a tree? Well, that's because I'm not that good when it comes to drawing and I want you guys to like the design not wonder what the heck I was thinking!

Here is the crib wall where the tree will be placed

You really can't see the full wall, but its large and bare right now. And the crib sits in the middle which will leave empty space on each end.

Here are the trees I like

A

I like this tree because the leaves or flowers aren't the usual kind. I could start this tree on the left side of the wall and carry the 'blossoms' across the wall to the right...

B

This trio could take care of the entire wall! Plus I just think it's so stinking cute!

What do you think? Tree A or Tree B? Or, are you just as 'stumped' as I am?!

By the way, I can choose the colors I want used for the design so ignore what you see now!

Have a great weekend!

Tree one! I love the whimsical feel of that one. The room is looking great! Can't wait to see it all done.

I love the lines of the first one, though the colors of the middle image are really great! What a very nice gesture/gift from you to this nursery and soon to be new family member! Janell

Tree A is a winner for me. I love the fact that the leaves are shaped like astricks or circles, can't really tell, not to mention the fact that there's the appearance of movement as if they leaves are blowing off the tree, but I'm sure that you'll pick the one that's perfect for the room. Have a great holiday weekend.

I like the first one too. I like the colors on tree and it is different than anything I have ever seen. Totally cute!!

I'm with you, Lakeisha! The trio is adorable and can bring in the birds from the mobile you made. And the squirrels are cute too!

Aww, man you KNOW I am the wrong person to ask to actually decide something. Both of these are GORGEOUS and will really make the space. Tree A seems to fit the rest of your scheme but the Tree B trio is so kid friendly ... and would allow for so many accent pieces down the road.

I really don't know I'm torn. You'll just have to surprise me I guess

BTW, I bought 2 comforters on clearance at Target for $20 yesterday. Bright stripes & Polka Dots - Just perfect for a little girls room ... um, but I'm not doing one of those ... guess I'll have to tell hubs we need another girl since I got such a "great deal" on bedding. :)

I love the trees, they are inspiring and would be an eye-catcher for any little one. Is there any kind of window treatment that would go well with a design on the wall like this? I came across your post this afternoon while browsing interior design blogs and the topic of window treatment selection was very interesting to me. It is true that you must dress your windows appropriately to bring out their true beauty. Thank you for writing and as a special thanks to you and your readers, I would like to offer a 20% off coupon using this code upon checkout: BLG20.

Love the whimiscal tree (the first one). However, u cannot go wrong if you choose the second one as well. That crib looks like the espresso version of our white crib:) Love the profile pic by the way.
